Store bought Ada - 1 cup (200 - 230gm)
Milk - 1 litre
Sugar - 1 cup (200 - 230gm) or as per taste
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - a pinch
Water - 1 cup
Raisins/Cashew/Pistachio - for garnish
PREPARATION:
Paal ada Payasam is a typical Kerala Delicacy which is mainly prepared on their festive occasions. In my family we never have a wedding without the paal ada payasam being served. Its my all time favorite dessert, with the creamy taste of milk and soft ada. This is a must try recipe I would say and kids will definitely love this kheer as the taste speaks it all.
I had a pack of store bought ada and I was craving for this kheer. I prepared this when I was carrying my baby in 8 months and later I dint find time too. Once again the craving for the taste of ada payasam had visited my thoughts and I prepared this in the little amount of time during my angel's short nap. Indeed, I prepared this kheer with the happy note of my kid completing a quarter part of her one year(3 Months). Happy to share the recipe with you all.

PREPARATION:
- Wash and drain the ready made ada. Boil water in a vessel until you get bubbles. Off the stove and add the washed, drained ada to the boiled water and cover it with a lid.
- Now boil milk in another vessel. once the milk is boiled, add quarter cup of sugar and stir continuously. At the same time, add a 2 tbsp of ghee to it. Stir the mix until you get a pale pink color. Here I have taken it a little earlier, but still the taste was superb.
- Add the sugar little by little and stir continuously for about 15 to 20 minutes and then add the cooked ada and cardamom powder. Mix it well and stir for another 10 to 15 min. It must be thick and creamy such that it does not run when poured on a plate.
- Once done, garnish with broken cashews,raisins and pistachios.
