IMAGERY:
When it rains and the evening looks cool with the red and orange shades of sun, we obviously feel to eat something hot and spicy... Especially Bajji, Bondas, Vada. If we have a hot coffee along with these... Awesome - will be the evening.
I tried Moong Dal Fritters on such evening.
This dish will be crispy outside and very soft inside. As we prepare this we
get the mixed aroma of the dal and potato which I really enjoyed while cooking.
INGREDIENTS:
Moong Dal - 1/2 cup
Potatoes - 2 medium sized
Finely Chopped Green chili - 2
Finely chopped Ginger - 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Asafoetida
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

PREPARATION:
- Soak the moong dal in water for an hour.
- Coarsely grind the moong dal.
- Cook the potatoes and peel their skin.
- Mash them and mix with the moong dal paste.
- Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
Note: I lost consistency of the batter. My mom said if the batter is little liquid it'll take up
much oil.So I added a Tbsp White Rava.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- When it's hot put small amount of batter into the oil and fry them.
- Fry till it becomes golden brown.
