Kadai Matar Paneer

Its always interesting to cook combo-Ingredient dishes. Paneer and Matar are a perfect combo which blends up with their tastes. We can say Paneer and Matar as a husband-wife combo as they make a perfect couple on cooking. Here we have the recipe by Chef Venkatesh Bhat which I prepared for dinner. Tasting the dish, myself and my sister felt that we could have prepared little more. Awesome was the taste... Prepare Paneer Matar and enjoy your dine.

INGREDIENTS:
For Kadai Masal:
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Soambu - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Red chili - 2 big or 4 small
Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
Cardamom - 4
Cloves - 4
Other Ingredients:
Oil - 3 tsp
Onion - 1 big, finely chopped
Tomatoes - 2 big, finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cooked Matar (green peas) - 1 cup
Finely chopped paneer - 1 cup
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1/2 tsp

PREPARATION:
  • Dry roast the ingredients for kadai masal separately and grind them into powder. Do not grind smooth.

  • Heat the wok and add oil. Add onion and saute till golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell leaves.
  • Add the tomatoes followed by turmeric powder, salt and sugar.Add little water for the tomatoes to cook well.

  • When the tomatoes become mushy add the cooked matar and saute well.

  • Now add the chopped paneer and mix well with the gravy.

  • Finally add the Kadai masal to get the yummy tasty Kadai Matar Paneer.


Kadai Matar Paneer ready to serve :-)
